Tom White

Tom White has spent most of his life in Highland Park. His father brought the White family from Tennessee to Michigan to work for Chrysler in the late 60’s as a part of the “great migration” of workers from the south to the north. Tom has been actively involved in his community for years. At the age of 13 he was the junior block club president of his neighborhood and then as an adult he become the president of his block club. He was a cub scout leader for years and is a football coach - his team has won the seven out of nine division championships. He is also the proud father of two children.

In addition to his contributions as a community leader, Tom has served as the vice president of the local union at the water plant. He has worked in the Highland Park water department for over nine years and replaced Gloria Pogue in the filtration plant. Tom is currently working seven days a week.
