Screening at University of Michigan-Dearborn, May 2008
An audience of over 300 people were packed into the theater at University of Michigan-Dearborn for a recent screening of The Water Front

This screening was accompanied by a panel including blues singer Joe L. Carter, composer of the film's theme song, Maureen Taylor and Miriam Kramer of Welfare Rights, Tom White - the water man from Highland Park, and Councilwoman, Norma Lewis. Bruce Pietrykowski, who runs the Urban and Regional Studies Program, was the host of this emotional evening whee politicians, students, professors, activists and artists came together to screen the film and discuss the situation in Highland Park.
